okay, I know I've done it, and I know others do it, but the Artist Envy (Or ArEn) theory is based upon the following fact:

If you are really into someone's art, story or a combo of the two, then you automatically do a kind of 'fan Art', or start commenting profusely in their gallery is some kind of subconscious hope they will notice you.

It also applies to social situations, but Artists Envy is unique because of the fact that they secretly envy YOUR style as well. This has happened with an Artist in Residence at my school: I use Wire as my medium (wire men to be precise), and he loved it so much he commissioned me to make one for him. He's a sculptor of epic proportions.

Again it happened with a girl I know who can churn out comics and humor like dandruff off a catperson's head. I'm now a regular character in several of her comics.

I'm not saying every comment i make is an ArEn, but some of them definitely are >.> I supper from RBDUFCTAM (Rotating bladed device used for cooling the air masculinity.)
